Slaven Bilic says that while Saturday's 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace felt 'like a defeat', the point will be important for West Ham down the line.

West Ham were leading until the final minute of injury time when, after a mistake from Michail Antonio, Wilfried Zaha scored a vital equaliser for Roy Hodgson's side to break Hammers' hearts.

Bilic has been under immense pressure at London Stadium. After the 3-0 home defeat to Brighton, Standard Sport reported that the Croatian manager had two games to save his job - against Tottenham in the EFL Cup, and Crystal Palace.

While a surprise 3-2 win at Wembley at Spurs will have relieved pressure, losing precious points so late will leave fresh questions unanswered.

Speaking after the game, the Hammers boss saud: "Nobody can say they [Crystal Palace] didn't deserve a point.

"They had a good performance in the second half.

"To concede like that is a killer, it's a killer.

"But it isn't, it feels like a defeat. It wasn’t a defeat and it isn’t a defeat at this point; it will be very important for us."
