Karl Robinson was pleased with the way Charlton earned a draw at Oxford United on Tuesday but felt his side should have won.

Charlton stay fifth in League One after the 1-1 at the Kassam Stadium and manager Robinson said: “I thought we were the better team. We had six or seven really good chances — ones that we would normally take.

“It was probably one of the best games I’ve watched this season. On the eye, that was as pleasing as you get. We were as fluent, as classy and as strong as I have seen all season, against one of the best teams, away from home.

“I am frustrated but I am so proud of my players tonight, I really am. We are really pleased with our whole team performance today.

“So, if I could swear I could. I’ve got so much stuff I want to get out because it’s frustrating for me.”
