Jan Vertonghen says the Tottenham squad are all fighting for each other as their winless run extended to four games on Saturday.
Christian Kabasele gave Watford an early lead against the run of play before Heung-min Son converted Christian Eriksen's low cross to put the sides level at the break.
Davinson Sanchez was shown a deserved red card for an elbow to Watford's Richarlison after just 52 minutes but neither team were able to find a winner.
"We wanted to win, even with 10 men we were still looking good," Vertonghen told the club's official website. "It feels like we’ve dropped two points here even after the red card.
"We knew we had to level up our physical game and I think we did well there.
"We showed that we want to fight for each other and in this phase of the season this is the most important thing."
Heung-min Son added: "It was a difficult game. We conceded a goal from a set-piece but it was good timing to score before half-time but then we got the red card in the second half.
"We were unlucky. I think we’re all disappointed."
