Antonio Conte may have steered Chelsea to the top-flight title with a record number of wins in May, but the Blues boss has surprisingly found himself the frontrunner to be the next Premier League manager to leave his post.

Conte completed an impressive feat last season after overseeing 30 top-flight victories, which helped Chelsea win the Premier League - just a season after the Blues finished in 10th place.

But the west Londoners' title defence started off in the worst possible way on Saturday when Chelsea were beaten 3-2 by Burnley at Stamford Bridge and had Gary Cahill and Cesc Fabregas sent off - both of whom will now not be available for the trip to Wembley to face Tottenham this weekend.

The result and, indeed, the dismissals have added yet more woes onto the head of Conte - who expressed his frustration this summer over the lack of options in his squad as Chelsea lost to Bayern Munich, Inter Milan and Arsenal in pre-season.

With the Diego Costa saga having added to the problems Conte currently has, 888Sport have made the Chelsea boss the frontrunner to become the next top-flight manager to leave with odds of 7/2.

Newcastle boss Rafael Benitez is next with odds of 4/1 as is Slaven Bilic - whose West Ham side were thrashed 4-0 by Manchester United on Sunday - while Mark Hughes also has odds of 4/1 to be the next coach in England's top-flight to leave his post.

Frank de Boer's reign at Crystal Palace began with a 3-0 loss to newly-promoted Huddersfield this weekend, with the Dutchman having odds of 6/1 to leave the Eagles.
