Chelsea Ladies manager Emma Hayes has signed a new three-and-a-half-year contract, the club have announced.
Hayes, who was shortlisted for Fifa's Best Woman's Coach award, led Chelsea to the Women’s Super League Spring Series title earlier this year, as well as progressing past Bayern Munich into the last 16 of the Uefa Women’s Champions League.
“This is a place which I feel very much a part of and it is very dear in my heart,” she told the club's official website.
“I couldn’t see myself anywhere else and it makes absolute sense to commit to the club going forward. I couldn’t be happier at this point in my career.”
Hayes was appointed as manager in June 2012, replacing Matt Beard after his three-year tenure at the club, and has now extended her commitment until the summer of 2021.
The 41-year-old was awarded an MBE last December following her trophy-laden career which saw her achieve unprecedented success at Arsenal Ladies, winning 11 major trophies during a three-season spell in north London.

Hayes was tipped to be a strong contender for the England manager vacancy after Mark Sampson was famously sacked after evidence emerged of “inappropriate and unacceptable behaviour” but she ruled herself out of the running saying she remained “committed” to Chelsea.
