When you are one of the elite players in world football, chances are you didn't get there by being shy.

Neymar's move made Paul Pogba's £89m move to Manchester United in 2016 seem small-time in comparison, while Barca consoled themselves against Neymar's exit by snapping up Borussia Dortmund forward Ousmane Dembele for an initial fee of €105m.

Eden Hazard usually lets his feet do the talking on the pitch, but when asked by the Daily Mail just how much he is worth in the current market compared to Neymar, the Chelsea winger replied: "€1billion!... Hahaha - no I am just kidding.

"No, not one billion. Neymar is a top player, he is Brazilian. I haven't got an answer for that one."

Hazard has been continuously linked with a move to Spain to link up with Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid, with the French coach a vocal admirer of the Belgian's talents.

The Chelsea forward is not ruling out heading to the Spanish capital in future, but said of the constant transfer speculation in and around the game: "You know I've been playing for 10 years now and every summer it is the same story.

"You read that this player can go here or there and in the end nothing happens.

"It is part of the job, it is part of football now and the newspapers need to write about it but for me as a player I just focus on my training and I focus on my game, that is the most important thing, and then if something happens it happens."
