UFC 213 livestream: How to watch Romero vs. Whittaker PPV online

Amanda Nunes vs. Valentina Shevchenko will no longer be happening due to an illness. Here’s how you can watch Romero vs. Whittaker online on Saturday.

The UFC lost its main event for UFC 213, as Amanda Nunes had to pull out of her bantamweight championship defense against Valentina Shevchenko with an illness. Instead, Yoel Romerow ill go up against The Ultimate Fighter: The Smashes winner Robert Whittaker for the promotion’s interim middleweight title.

Saturday’s card will begin at 6:30 p.m. ET on UFC Fight Pass, a live streaming service. It will continue at 8 p.m. on FOX Sports 1 for another round of preliminary fights. The pay-per-view main card will get underway at 10 a.m. Live streaming can be found at UFC Fight Pass, UFC.TV and the UFC YouTube channel.

Nunes was taken to the hospital with an illness on Saturday, leading to the late cancellation and the promotion’s inability to add another big fight to the card.

Romero is one of the most exciting prospects in the sport, and has beaten Chris Weidman, Ronaldo Souza and Lyoto Machida in his last three fights. He has won eight consecutive fights in the UFC, and has two Fight of the Night and Performance of the Night honors.

Whittaker won TUF: The Smashes as a welterweight but lost multiple fights there before he decided to move to middleweight. Since that move, he has won six straight fights, with fins over Derek Brunson and Souza to his name.

Fabricio Werdum and Alistair Overeem will have a rubber match, and their first in the UFC. They first fought in Pride FC in 2006, a fight that Werdum won via submission. Overeem later beat Werdum via unanimous decision in Strikeforce in 2011.

Werdum last beat Travis Brown via decision, and owns wins over Cain Velasquez and Mark Hunt in recent fights. He does have a loss to Stipe Miocic recently, though, and that’s something that Overeem shares with him. Overeem last beat Hunt, but fell to Miocic before that.

Below is all the information you need to watch the action on television and online, and below that is the full fight card for Saturday.
