Jacksonville wide receiver Marqise Lee has continued to increase his role in the Jaguars offense since Allen Robinson went down with a torn ACL in Week 1. The former USC product leads the team in targets and routes run in 2017, according to ESPN.com.
Fantasy Impact: Lee had four catches for 65 yards in the first half of the last week’s game against the Ravens. The Jaguars beat down the Ravens 44-7 so they did not need to pass the ball in the second half, which is why he did not have a catch in the second half.
For teams thin at receiver in any format of fantasy league, I would feel comfortable starting Lee against the woeful Jets secondary as a WR2/3 or flex. After a surprising Jets win over the Dolphins last weekend the Jags will not take the Jets lightly. I expect Jacksonville to come out sharp against the Jets leading to multiple scoring opportunities for Lee.
