Saquon Barkley started Penn State-Ohio State by housing a kickoff 97 yards

Barkley’s at it again.

I’m almost getting bored of posting Saquon Barkley highlights. But if he’s going to keep scoring touchdowns from everywhere on the field, that’s that.

The latest: this 97-yard kickoff return to start Penn State’s mega-game at Ohio State on Saturday. It marked 15 straight games for Barkley with a touchdown, the longest active streak in Division I, per Fox Sports’ Gus Johnson.

Barkley took the kickoff near the right corner of his own end zone (from his vantage). He traversed the whole length of the field horizontally and still barely looked like he was trying, because he’s that much better than even the No. 6 team in the country.

If Penn State wins this game, Barkley’s status as the Heisman Trophy frontrunner will be cemented with a third of the season still to go. This return wasn’t a bad way to start.

Penn State forced a fumble on Ohio State’s ensuing possession, which set up this brilliant TD catch by DaeSean Hamilton to make it 14-0:

We’re updating the Saquon Barkley Highlight Tracker right here. Chances are we’ll make a few more additions to that before the day’s done.
