Everton are planning a summer raid on Italian side Atalanta for midfielder Josip Ilicic.

That is according to Italian outlet Calciomercato, who say the Toffees are keeping tabs on the attack-minded playmaker with a view to a move at the end of the campaign.

The Toffees are already looking ahead to next season despite having 11 Premier League games remaining in what has been a disappointing term.

Slovenian Ilicic has caught the eye of Toffees scouts as the Merseysiders look to get in the European shake-up in 2018/19.
