Sando Ramirez has told Everton he doesn't want to return to Goodison.
The Spain U21 international is currently out on loan at Sevilla, after a disastrous first six months on Merseyside, following his £5m move in the summer.
The player was heralded as one of the most exciting strikers in Spain, but after his much-hyped move from Malaga, Ramirez scored just one goal in 15 appearances for the Blues, and was then hastily sent out on loan.
He has played just two games for Sevilla, losing 5-1 in his first appearance and then being dropped to the bench for a cup game, but speaking to Spanish radio, he insisted he has made the right move, and will not go back to Everton.
"I've been here two weeks and I want to continue next season at Sevilla. I'm really where I want to be," he said.
But boss Sam Allardyce is still hopeful that both Ramirez and another summer transfer flop Davy Klaassen can be a success at Everton next season.
Speaking from the club's warm weather training camp in Dubai, he said: "There’s more players from abroad that don’t work in their first season. They fail more than they succeed, that’s across the board and at every club.
“It’s season two that really counts. The new season everyone starts fresh and everyone has a new chance to impress.”
Allardyce took Klaassen with him to Dubai for the training camp, despite the Dutch international star being left completely out in the cold at Goodison for the past two months.
And the manager believes the camp will bring his squad closer together, after a difficult time this season.
“The players will understand each other better and I think talking amongst each other is a value that is not emphasised as much as it should be,” said the Blues boss.
“Understanding each other as people, not just as footballers, to get that relationship. Everyone respects each other and we all try to move forward together.
“There have been a lot of changes this season, not just myself and the backroom staff, but players as well. So hopefully we will see the benefits when we do get home.”
