Alexis Sanchez has arrived at Arsenal's training ground meaning the forward won't make his Manchester United debut this weekend.
The Chilean needed to seal his move to Old Trafford before midday on Friday to make his United bow against Burnley on Saturday.
Instead, Sanchez was pictured driving into Arsenal's training ground, perhaps for the last time.
The Chilean did train at the London Colney complex on Thursday, but away from the first team who were getting ready for Saturday’s clash with Palace.
The frozen out star has already agreed a four-and-a-half year, worth a staggering £490,000-a-week deal with United. The transfer would see Henrikh Mkhitaryan move in the opposite direction.
Speaking about the deal on Thursday, Arsene Wenger said: "Yes it is likely to happen.
"But any minute things can break down. That’s how the transfer market is. These things are never guaranteed."
The Armenian was also snapped heading to training on Friday morning. He will also not make his debut for Arsenal this weekend.
Mkhitaryan will be hoping to impress at Arsenal, having struggled for regular action with United since falling foul of Jose Mourinho earlier in the season.
The 28-year-old, who scored the opening goal in last season's Europa League final, has started just two of the club's last 15 matches, having begun the campaign in United's preferred first XI.
Arsene Wenger confirmed on Thursday that he is expecting to land Mkhitaryan and that wage demands aren't a problem.
Wenger said: “My understanding, yes. Yes, of course. If it’s a possibility, it’s because I like the player.
“We played many times against him when he was at Dortmund. He certainly appreciated the quality of our game and the way we play football. That’s why certainly he loves the club as well.
“No, the wages would not be a problem. Look, this would be an exchange of players, and I think one would replace the other. Are we still on the transfer market after that? Yes.”
