Manchester United and Arsenal will have to wait to field new signings Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Alexis Sanchez, as the fine details of the mega-deal are still being ironed out.

Sanchez's move to Old Trafford is reported to have been agreed, with the Chilean set to sign a contract until 2022 that will give him wages of over £400,000. United are also willing to pay agents' fees of up to £10m that both Manchester City and Chelsea balked at.

Among a few reasons that Arsenal favoured United's offer over City's was because Mkhitaryan was put forward as a potential replacement, and Arsene Wenger believes the player can thrive at the Emirates in a way that hasn't really happened at Old Trafford.

Arsene Wenger is ready to offer Olivier Giroud to Borussia Dortmund in an attempt to find a deal for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Arsenal are talking to Dortmund about signing the Gabonese international, for whom Dortmund initially wanted €70m. Arsenal do not want to pay that much, so they have told Dortmund that they would be willing to include the veteran France striker as part of the deal.

Giroud has been relegated to a fringe role this season by the arrival of Alexandre Lacazette, and has only started one Premier League game. Dortmund were one of the teams who wanted Giroud last summer – along with Marseille, Besiktas and Everton – but he stayed put.

West Brom will let defender Jonny Evans leave the Hawthorns for Manchester City - as long as the price is right, the Sun reports. The paper said West Brom will expect £23.5million for the defender, who is also subject to interest from Arsenal - with boss Alan Pardew resigned to losing the 30-year-old during this transfer window.

Michael Lang could be coming into the Hawthorns, according to reports in the Mail. The 26-year-old is currently at Basel, but scouts from the Baggies have been watching the Swiss international during their training camp as a potential replacement for Evans, the paper said.

Newcastle are looking to bolster their squad with the loan signings of Everton's Aaron Lennon and Leicester's Islam Slimani, according to the Shields Gazette. Boss Rafa Benitez is looking at the loan market with Lennon out of contract in the summer and Slimani struggling for a game at the King Power.

The list of potential suitors for Nice midfielder Jean-Michael Seri continues to grow, with Manchester United leading a four-way battle for the defender, according to the Mirror. Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City are all looking to take on the 26-year-old who is also fancied by Paris St Germain.

Michy Batshuayi has caught the eye of West Ham boss David Moyes, who was at Stamford Bridge to watch the Belgian in action against Norwich earlier in the week, the Mail reports.
