The January transfer window is now officially closed, and the squads are locked in for the rest of the season. For Everton, that means attempting to salvage whatever is left of this ‘lost’ season and hopefully making a challenge for 7th place.
That starts with getting a better showing at the Emirates this weekend - the Blues have not beaten Arsenal in north London since a 2-1 win in January 1996. In general the Toffees have been terrible against the top six clubs, with only one away win in the last seven seasons when playing that group of teams.
Hopefully Theo Walcott can help with that in his first game against his former side.
