Everton vs Tottenham: Injury Report

Everton will have star goalkeeper Jordan Pickford between the sticks for the visit of Tottenham Hotspur. Manager Ronald Koeman confirmed that he would be playing, along with Wayne Rooney who despite facing internal discipline for his drink driving arrest will not miss any games.

New signing Nikola Vlasic will be in the matchday squad after Koeman specifically mentioned that he was in contention to get some minutes this weekend. There was also a promise of redemption for Oumar Niasse, but it remains to be seen if he makes the 18 for tomorrow’s game.

Davy Klaassen trained with the group this week, but Koeman did not comment on his fitness. The player was not called up for Netherlands during the international break and will be looking to regain his spot in the side. There was also no word on Mason Holgate who suffered an ankle ailment but should be in line to play.

James McCarthy was lumped in the long term injuries group and could miss out, along with Ross Barkley, Seamus Coleman, Yannick Bolasie and Ramiro Funes Mori.

For Spurs, midfielder Victor Wanyama faces a spell on the sidelines after sustaining a knee injury in training before their last game against Burnley. In addition, Erik Lamela, Danny Rose and Georges-Kevin N’Koudou are all still recovering from injuries and will not feature tomorrow.

Of Tottenham’s new signings, Serge Aurier returned late from international duty and could be on the bench while Fernando Llorente might make the squad despite not being a 100% fit.
