There are two things that every single Everton fan wants for the holidays this year:

Seamus Coleman and Yannick Bolasie back on the field in Blue.

It looks like Toffees fans will get at least one of their presents early.

In his press conference before Monday’s match against Swansea, Sam Allardyce addressed Bolasie’s status in rehab from an injury that has kept him out for over a year, and Everton fans are going to be excited:

“We’ve got Yannick Bolasie training, and will probably play some part in the Under-23s game tonight, I believe. We would see what happens for that, and depending on the whole team here, we may have a discussion if that makes him available for selection on Monday against Swansea.”

The news of Yannick’s imminent return couldn’t come at a better time as Everton enter into the insanely busy holiday stretch with matches coming fast a furious.

Adding an asset like Bolasie to the fold will only serve to increase Sam Allardyce’s ability to adapt during the busy season.

Speaking of the U-23’s, they play against Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb today in the Premier League International Cup - held between twelve English clubs and twelve other European clubs, divided into six groups with group winners and two best runners-up making it into the knockout round.

Much like their senior counterparts, the Everton youth have struggled in international competition. Heading into the last game for the young Blues, they currently have one draw and one loss, and need a big win to stay in contention for qualifying for the next round.

Perhaps Bolasie can be a spark for the U-23’s before joining up and doing the same for the senior Toffees. No mater what, I know this brought a smile to my face, can’t wait until it’s during a senior match.
