Tottenham’s Kyle Walker-Peters caught taking photo of his Premier League award

This is cute!

Tottenham Hotspur’s Kyle Walker-Peters had a pretty phenomenal Premier League debut on Sunday, starting the match against Newcastle at St. James’ Park, playing the full 90 minutes, and taking home the Man of the Match award for his performance. It was probably one of the best Tottenham Premier League debuts since Eric Dier scored the match winner at West Ham in August 2014.

Ironic, and appropriate then that Dier should catch Walker-Peters admiring his Man of the Match trophy on the plane back to London. Dier captured Walker-Peters taking a photo of his award, and then Dier posted the video as an Instagram Story.

It’s a cute moment, and one that’s understandable from young Kyle’s point of view. After such a day, what man wouldn’t want a little quiet time alone with his first major senior match award? It was the culmination of a fantastic debut for the 20-year old, and he’s no doubt rightfully proud of what he accomplished.

Thankfully, he has Dier there to make sure it doesn’t go to his head!
