As Manchester City continue to sign Jonny Evans from West Bromwich Albion, their chase might boosted by a piece of business the Baggies are looking to. According to Paul Hirst of The Times, Tony Pulis is looking to sign defender Marc Wilson from AFC Bournemouth on a permanent transfer.

Wilson spent the second half of last season on loan at West Brom and impressed Pulis, but went back to Bournemouth this summer. Eddie Howe said this week that Wilson is free to leave if the right offer comes along, and if West Brom agree to sell Evans today, Wilson will be his replacement.

This seems like the initial stages of a deal, but thing should speed up if City sell Eliaquim Mangala to Crystal Palace and complete the Evans transfer. Let’s wait for further developments, but it looks like City are getting Evans after all if West Brom have found his replacement.
