Pep Guardiola has given Manchester City a huge boost ahead of Sunday’s derby with United after confirming that David Silva will play at Old Trafford.
Earlier in the week Pep had said the 31-year-old could miss out due to a “little problem” picked up at the end of the win over West Ham United.
However, speaking at his pre-match press conference on Friday he confirmed that Silva was not only fit, but would be in his starting XI.
#PEP: At 23 years old, always you can do better. You have a lot of distance to achieve your best level. @sterling7 has a lot of things to improve and that’s why he will have a long career.@21LVA is going to play. #utdvcity #mancity

Pep was also asked about Vincent Kompany and Fabian Delph but couldn’t say if they might be fit, only that he would get an update on their availability tomorrow.
