Manchester City made history on Wednesday night, racking up their 15th consecutive win, a top-flight record.
Pep Guardiola’s side remain 11 points clear, and on this form it would be no surprise if this team were to set more records.
But there was one statistic from Wednesday’s win over Swansea City that suggests City can look to the future with huge confidence.
Man City scored 49 goals during their record-breaking 15 wins.

While City’s top scorer in the Premier League this season is the 29-year-old Sergio Aguero with 10 goals, Raheem Sterling is just one behind on nine, while Gabriel Jesus has eight and Leroy Sane six.
Guardiola has also given 17-year-old Phil Foden a first start this season, becoming the youngest English player ever to start a Champions League game.
The future is bright indeed.
