Loan report – Jenkinson back in training; Lucas and Asano feature

2017-12-03 19_51_40-Carl Jenkinson back in training for Blues

Cohen Bramall is unlikely to be involved when Birmingham City host Wolverhampton Wanderers tomorrow night but there is positive news regarding Carl Jenkinson, who is back in training as he steps up his recovery from a dislocated shoulder.

Lucas Perez played the whole game and was booked as Deportivo La Coruna lost 2-0 to Sevilla.

Takuma Asano played 57 minutes as Stuttgart lost 1-0 to Werder Bremen.

Emiliano Martinez was an unused substitute as Getafe beat Valencia 1-0.

Kelechi Nwakali was an unused substitute as VVV-Venlo lost 2-0 to AZ.

Joel Campbell missed out through injury as Real Betis took on Las Palmas.

Stephy Mavididi wasn’t involved as Preston North End beat Queens Park Rangers 1-0.

Marc Bola wasn’t involved as Bristol Rovers beat Rotherham United 2-1.

  1. This has become your most pointless regular feature 😦
Same story every week. Wonder if we will send any more players out to not play at other clubs in January…

  2. Do you think the ending of the “emergency window” is one of the reasons for this? Teams have to act earlier, then get players they don’t really need. In the old days managers could assess their squads then take players they need – or react to injuries.

  3. I think the 1st team is a little short at left back (wing back) as AMN has to play there in Europa League matches – he is quite serviceable there but I don’t think it is his best position. Not sure if there are any up and coming prospects for this position from the youth teams. I know Bramall is out on loan but I think the jury is still out as to whether he is the answer (not getting a game at Birmingham!). I would love to hear your judgements on a few players I have tracked over the last few years: Gaya (Valencia), Tierney (Celtic), Sessegnon (Fulham).
