Matt Macey is set to make his competitive debut for the Arsenal first-team in tomorrow night’s Carabao Cup tie at home to Norwich City.
With David Ospina out injured, Macey is in line to start at Emirates Stadium, and the 23-year-old will be determined to seize his opportunity and prove to Arsene Wenger that he can challenge to be part of the first-team squad.
Macey joined Arsenal from Bristol Rovers in 2013 and has been named on the bench for the first-team on several occasions, while he featured in the friendly against Lens last year.
Having gained experience during loan spells at Accrington Stanley and Luton Town, Macey will now get a chance for Arsenal at senior level.
Good luck to him, let’s hope he has a quiet evening.
