Arsenal winger Nathan Tormey has suffered a fresh injury setback having been ruled out for up to six months after tearing his hamstring in training.

The 17-year-old spent the majority of last season on the sidelines and has been so unfortunate with injuries that he has made just one appearance for the U18s since signing his scholarship deal.

However, Tormey can take some solace from the fact that he is highly rated within the club, while his short-term future is secure as he signed his first professional contract recently.

Arsenal are also without the services of several other members of the U18 squad at present, with Trae Coyle, Xavier Amaechi, Jordan McEneff, Jay Beckford, Mark McGuinness, Tyreece John-Jules, Zak Swanson and Daniel Barden all yet to feature this season.
