Nelson, Nketiah and Joe Willock amongst seven youngsters in Arsenal’s Asia tour squad

Arsenal have named their 25-man squad for the tour of Australia, with six players from outside from the first-team being included.

Reiss Nelson, Eddie Nketiah, Joe Willock, Cohen Bramall and Donyell Malen all earn their first call-ups to the senior squad, while Krystian Bielik, back from the U21 European Championship, is also included as well as Ainsley Maitland-Niles, fresh from winning the U20 World Cup with England.

New signings Alexandre Lacazette and Sead Kolasinac are included.

However, Wojciech Szczesny, Mathieu Debuchy, Kieran Gibbs, Lucas Perez, Carl Jenkinson and Chuba Akpom aren’t included.

Jack Wilshere is still injured and Jeff Reine-Adelaide isn’t yet fully fit.

  1. It’s great to see several youngsters mixing it up with the First Teamers. What a thrill it must be for them, no more so than Cohen Bramall, seeing where he was no more than 6 months ago!
