Wolves have completed the signing of midfielder Conor Coady from Huddersfield for an undisclosed fee.

The 22-year-old has signed a three-year-contract, with the option of another 12 months.

Coady caught the attention of Wolves boss Kenny Jackett last season, after he netted a spectacular goal in a 3-1 win at Molineux in October.

He joined Liverpool’s Academy as a 12-year-old and came through the ranks before twice appearing on the bench in the Premier League as a teenager during the 2010/11 season.

Coady eventually made his senior Liverpool debut in November 2012 in a Europa League match against Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala.

Jackett said:  "I am delighted to bring Conor Coady into the club. He had a very good season at Huddersfield last year - his first at this level - and he will complement the midfield players that we have.

"He is in the type of age group that will have the hunger to improve and try and build on what he did last year.

"We are looking for him to come in and help drive the club forward and pick up from where he left off as an impressive performer in the Championship last year."

Speaking after finalising his move to Molineux, Coady said: “It’s massive for me. I’m really thrilled to be here and I cannot wait to get going. I’m made up.

“It’s a huge, huge club and one that I really couldn’t turn down. Last year was huge for me. Huddersfield was a fantastic club for me to be at and I’m really grateful for what they gave me. It’s a new chapter now and I really can’t wait to get going."
