Mauricio Pochettino wants to make Ryan Sessegnon a Tottenham player, according to Fulham journalist Ryan O’Donovan.

Speaking to Football.London, O’Donovan said: “Tottenham are interested in Sessegnon, that much is a certainty, and have been for a while – Mauricio Pochettino is a big fan of the youngster and would love to make him a Spurs player.

“They also bid in the summer for him, reported to be £25m, but that was rejected and Ryan Sessegnon, along with Steven, both signed three-year deals at Fulham to commit their futures to the club.”

Earlier this month, reports suggested Fulham will command a fee of £20 million for Sessegnon if they are to let him join Spurs in January.

Rumours that Danny Rose will leave Tottenham for Manchester United next month persist. I don’t think that will happen, but if it does, the club will be keen to sign a replacement.

Sessegnon, still only 17, certainly fits the bill, but Spurs’ chances of signing him in January seem low at the moment. Perhaps next summer is more realistic.
