Tottenham sent scouts to watch Galatasaray midfielder Papa Badou Ndiaye over the weekend, according to reports in Turkey.

Ndiaye only joined Galatasaray from Osmanlispor in the summer for a reported fee of £6.6 millon, but a number of clubs are already considering moves for him.

The 27-year-old scored 17 goals in 61 appearances for his former club, but he is yet to find the net for his new team.

According to Turkish outlet Sporx (via HITC), Spurs, Newcastle, West Ham and Leicester all sent scouts to watch Ndiaye against Trabzonspor on Sunday – the midfielder was sent off in injury time.

It’s possible Tottenham will be keen on signing a midfielder in either January or next summer. Mousa Dembele’s long-term fitness has been a cause for concern, while Victor Wanyama remains sidelined.

Spurs have also been linked with a move for Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes, who they tried and failed to sign on deadline day.
