Mauricio Pochettino has revealed Harry Kane will be assessed ahead of Wednesday’s clash with Real Madrid to see if he is able to play.

The striker trained outdoors with the rest of the team on Tuesday, but Pochettino refused to confirm his availability.

“We’re very confident [he will play] – he’s on the list,” said Pochettino. “We have one more day to assess him but maybe it’s possible he can play tomorrow. I don’t want to say 100 percent because we have one more day. Today and yesterday was good at training. Now it’s with medical staff to take the right decision.

“He was training with group and was good – at the same level as team. We must know the feeling today, after tonight and tomorrow, how he is going to feel. And many other things. We’ll take the best decision for him, first of all, and then for the team.” (Quotes via ESPN.)

Tottenham face Crystal Palace at Wembley on Sunday – it sounds like Kane will definitely be available for that game regardless.
