Tottenham are considering a January move for Turkish striker Cenk Tosun, according to MailOnline.

The 26-year-old has found the net five times so far this season after scoring 27 for his club, Besiktas, and country last term.

According to the Mail, Spurs, Arsenal and Crystal Palace sent scouts to watch Tosun in Turkey’s 3-0 defeat to Iceland last Friday.

I bet they wish they watched him in Finland on Monday night instead, when he scored twice. Perhaps the scouts did go to both games.

Palace apparently went all out to sign Tosun in August but failed to get a deal over the line.

His destination might depend on whether he wants to be a first choice striker – that would be unlikely at Tottenham, while he’d almost certainly start for Palace.

To be honest, I can’t see Spurs going for another striker in January unless there is some sort of injury crisis.
