Tottenham have agreed a fee with Paris Saint-Germain for the transfer of right-back Serge Aurier, according to reports in France.

Yesterday we relayed reports suggesting Aurier has agreed personal terms with Spurs, Juventus and Inter Milan. He has also been linked with Manchester United.

Now, French outlet L’Equipe (via The Mirror) is claiming PSG and Tottenham have settled on a £20 million fee.

The 24-year-old is apparently now considered the Ligue 1 club’s third-choice right-back behind Dani Alves and Thomas Meunier, and so a transfer is likely.

There have been questions marks over Aurier’s attitude in the past. He once hit the headlines after making homophobic comments about his former manager Laurent Blanc.

For that reason, I have doubts this one will happen. It will be interesting to see the fan reaction if it does go through.

  1. We have fans that to this day still want Berbatov, Modric and Bale back at this club, and these three openly disrespected the club in demanding moves or refusing to play to engineer moves. So I would be very surprised if any Spurs fan dares criticise a player for comments they would say “are in the past” if related to the aforementioned three.
