Manchester United's elaborate Alexis Sanchez transfer unveiling video has been brilliantly parodied by Scottish Premier League club, Motherwell.

Alexis Sanchez's move to Manchester United in a swap deal with Henrikh Mkhitaryan was finally confirmed on Monday evening after days of speculation and negotiations.

To mark the Chilean's arrival, United's social media team shared a video of the 29-year-old playing the piano before walking out onto the Old Trafford pitch for the first time.

The short video, showing Alexis Sanchez don his new shirt for the first time, has been retweeted over 150,000 times

Now Motherwell have decided to take inspiration from the world's richest club.

29-year-old Pete Hartley's permanent move to Fir Park was announced in a more stripped-back version of United's cinematic production.

In the video a cross-legged Hartley begins the video tentatively prodding at a child's electric keyboard.

Hartley plays a bungled tune before shouting "f***!" after hitting the wrong key.

Motherwell even copied the wording of United's announcement, tweeting: "Ladies and gentlemen, please take your seats. Introducing #Pete6. Are we doing this right, @ManUtd?"

Like Sanchez, he also opts to wear a shirt baring his first name, 'Pete', on the back rather than his surname.

United's Twitter page responded to Motherwell's video with a gif of Sanchez smiling and winking.

Hartley joins Motherwell from Blackpool having already made 17 appearances this during a loan spell at the SPL club.

"It was a very, very easy decision to make," Hartley told the club's official website.

"I've been at this club for six months and it's a fantastic dressing room, probably one of the best I've been in."
