Chelsea are weighing up a late bid for Swansea City's Fernando Llorente, who is interested in playing under Antonio Conte again.

Llorente is still a leading target for Conte and Chelsea are set to offer £15million for the striker before Thursday's deadline.

The Spanish international played under Conte at Juventus and he is understood to be aware that Chelsea are considering the prospect of a renewed move.

Chelsea were frustrated in January after Swansea refused to sell the 32-year-old but Paul Clement, the Welsh club's head coach, is braced for another approach.

Swansea are closing in on Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony and would still be reluctant to sell Llorente, but Conte's pursuit and the lure of Champions League football could prove pivotal.

Llorente is yet to play this season after suffering an arm injury in pre-season, and has been ruled out of Saturday's game at Crystal Palace.

Stoke join race for Wimmer

Stoke City have offered £15million for Tottenham Hotspur defender Kevin Wimmer.

Stoke have joined the race for the Austria international, who looks likely to leave next week, but it is believed their initial bid was turned down by Spurs.

Crystal Palace and West Brom have also made offers for Wimmer and Stoke have now emerged as the latest club to make a move. Stoke are keen to sign another centre-half despite the arrival of Kurt Zouma, on loan from Chelsea, and Bruno Martins Indi who joined from Porto for £7m.

West Ham still in hunt for Carvalho

West Ham fear their pursuit of Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho could go into the final week of the transfer window.

A source close to the deal admitted it was "50-50" over whether Carvalho will sign, with the two clubs still haggling over the £37.5m fee.

West Ham are also in dispute with Aston Villa over the terms of a loan deal for Robert Snodgrass, the Scotland winger, with the Championship club understood to be reluctant to pay a specified amount for appearance money.

Wolves move for Rhodes

Wolverhampton Wanderers have made an inquiry for Sheffield Wednesday's Jordan Rhodes, with the striker expected to leave Hillsborough on loan.

Forest consider Dean

Nottingham Forest are weighing up a £1.5million bid for Brentford defender Harlee Dean, who is a free agent next year.
