Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson denies deal agreed for Crystal Palace starlet Wilfried Zaha

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has moved to end speculation about doing any transfer business this month amid speculation a move for Wilfried Zaha is almost done.

United have been busy in the winter window before, having signed the likes of Patrice Evra and Nemanja Vidic, while also securing a pre-contract deal with Chris Smalling.

Fergie has been linked with Crystal Palace's Zaha in recent days and reports have claimed a £12m deal has been agreed, on the premise the rising star remains at Selhurst Park for the remainder of the season.

Kevin Strootman and Victor Wanyama have also been linked but Ferguson says he's keeping quiet in January.

"There's nothing to report," he confirmed. "It's January, what can I say? I know you're desperate for a story but there's no story. I've got nothing to tell you."
