Sir Alex Fergsuon labels Cristiano Ronaldo as ‘the complete player’

Sir Alex Ferguson has labeled Cristiano Ronaldo as ‘the complete player’.

The Real Madrid star was once more overlooked for the coveted Ballon D’Or award earlier this week, with Lionel Messi winning for the fourth year in a row.

But the Manchester United manager, who signed the Portuguese ace from Sporting Lisbon in 2003, is in no doubt as to how good his former player has become.

Fergie will come face to face with Ronaldo for the first time since the 27-year-old left Old Trafford when United and Madrid meet in the Champions League last 16 next month, and the Scot knows all too well the threat his former favourite will pose.

He told Inside United: "Maturity brings many things. When I went to see them [Madrid] play against [Manchester] City, some of his decision-making in terms of passing was brilliant. One-touch passing, good crosses.

"In the six years we had him, you just saw his game grow all the time, and he was a fantastic player.

"Now you see the complete player.

"His decision-making, his maturity, his experience, plus all the great skills he has got, they all make him the complete player."
