Tottenham sign former Manchester United youngster

Tottenham Hotspur have announced the signing of Zeki Fryers from Standard Liege.

The England youth international began his career at Manchester United but moved to Belgium after he failed to sign a new deal at Old Trafford.

And now, after just five league appearances for the Belgian giants, Fryers is returning to the Premier League with Spurs, who he trained with over the summer following his release.

A statement on the club’s website said: “We are delighted to announce that we have reached agreement with Standard Liege for the signing of Zeki Fryers.

“Zeki will link up with the Club's Development Squad.”
