Speaking ahead of the match, Arsene Wenger urged Gunners fans not to jeer Fabregas on his return to the Emirates, and give him the 'respect he deserves'.

“I want every [player to be respected] and Cesc Fabregas when he comes to the Emirates on Sunday to be respected like he deserves,” said the Arsenal manager.

“The regret I have is that he wanted to leave here," he continued.
