Claude Puel has confirmed Wes Morgan suffered a "bad hamstring injury" in Leicester's 3-0 win over Huddersfield, but the Foxes manager expects to have Jamie Vardy available for this weekend's trip to Fleetwood.
Morgan was forced off midway through the first half of Leicester's win at the King Power Stadium on New Year's Day after pulling with an injury following an attempted challenge on Terriers striker Steve Mounie.
Puel confirmed Morgan had suffered a hamstring injury after slipping on the turf and ruled the defender out of Saturday's trip to Fleetwood in the third round of the FA Cup.
"It's a bad injury, a hamstring injury, Wes slipped on the pitch," said Puel.
Vardy missed the win over Huddersfield after sustaining a slight injury in the 2-1 defeat to Liverpool last month but Puel backed the England international to return to fitness in time to face his former club Fleetwood.
"Jamie isn't long-term. He felt something against Liverpool," said Puel. "We will see for the next game - it's an important game for him."
