Alvaro Morata believes Chelsea team-mate Eden Hazard is a top-three player in world football

Eden Hazard of Chelsea celebrates his side's 4-0 victory against Stoke

Alvaro Morata believes Chelsea team-mate Eden Hazard is one of the three best players in the world alongside Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Hazard has been working his way back from a broken ankle but is now fully fit and started in Chelsea's last-gasp 2-1 win over Atletico Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday.

The Belgian star set up Morata for the equalising goal against Atletico with a teasing cross after Antoine Griezmann's opener and the former Real Madrid striker believes Hazard is a world-class talent.

The Spain striker said: "It's not difficult playing with this kind of player. He's one of the three best players in the world. It's easy for me playing with him."

Morata's strike against Atletico was his seventh in eight matches since joining Chelsea and he has quickly established himself as a firm favourite with Blues fans.

And the 24-year-old is enjoying being the main man up front after playing peripheral roles at Real Madrid and Juventus.

He added: "I came to Chelsea because one club and one coach believed in me. I'm very happy."

Chelsea face a quick turnaround after their exploits in Madrid with a mammoth clash against Premier League leaders Manchester City looming on Saturday at Stamford Bridge.

Head coach Antonio Conte has voiced his annoyance at the proximity of the fixture with City afforded an extra day of rest following their 2-0 victory over Shakhtar Donetsk on Tuesday.

But Morata is focused solely on the game and closing the three-point gap on City.

"(It is) another big match," Morata said. "It's very important for us before the international break to take the three points."
