Napoli are interested in signing Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian, according to Sky sources.
The Italy international's contract at Old Trafford expires in 2020, but he has expressed an interest in a move and Sky Sports News understands the clubs are ready to open talks.
The 28-year-old was signed from Torino by former United manager Louis van Gaal in the summer of 2015.
However, he has been in and out of the first team and has only made four Premier League appearances this season, although he was in the starting line-up for Wednesday's Carabao Cup quarter-final at Bristol City.
Antonio Valencia has been preferred by Jose Mourinho as Manchester United's first choice right-back this season.
