The Tottenham striker is currently the Premier League's top scorer, with the La Liga side long being linked to the player, but United could now be set to swoop.
The newspaper also reports that Luke Shaw and Henrikh Mkhitaryan will be staying at Old Trafford in January.
Left-back Shaw has assured manager Jose Mourinho that he is fit for action, while midfielder Mkhitaryan is said to be too expensive for interested clubs like Inter Milan and Borussia Dortmund to buy in the winter window.
Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has fired a warning about reported Manchester United target Paulo Dybala, suggesting that he should not be bought with any intentions to play him as a striker.
"He cannot play centre-forward for a big club, where the distance to goal is much shorter," Allegri said ahead of Juventus' game with Cagliari this weekend.
"Just look at his best goals for Juve: they're often when he's running from deeper positions."
