Now you don't need to tell us that being negative about Arsenal often generates attention.

When the Gunners are in bad form - which seems to be fairly often these days - then anything which piles on the pain is usually good for businesses such as this one.

But the key thing, as with every form of media, has to be accuracy. You can't just make things up.

Which brings us to a story currently doing the rounds about Petr Cech .

In the wake of Arsenal's 4-0 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday, a statistic suddenly started appearing on social media claiming that the Gunners goalkeeper had now - or was just about to - concede more goals for his current team than his previous one, Chelsea.

It was shared and retweeted thousands of times in various forms, and given that he's been at Arsenal for just three years, and was at Chelsea for 11, it is a fairly incredible claim.

But also a completely false one.

Tom Ede, who works for stats gurus Opta, was on hand to end the madness when he tweeted that over 300 fewer goals for his current team than his former one - 89 for Arsenal and 392 to Chelsea, which is pretty much what you'd expect given his time at both clubs.

So next time you think about hitting the retweet button, just think a little first.
