Now we're no culinary wizards, so we're not here to judge.

After a long, hard day slogging away at Mirror Football Towers we have been known to return to our tiny, dark flat, remove the sleeve on our microwave lasagne for one, carefully pierce the film (very important to do it carefully) and prepare to be partially satisfied in about four-and-a-half minutes.

But this is something else.

Because while we'll freely admit that we're not very good at cooking, it seems as though Jamie Carragher is completely usless.

As usual, Carra saw the funny side (

As you can see in the video above, Liverpool legend and Sky Sports pundit Carragher clearly needs a helping hand in the kitchen.

And possibly another hand too.

And maybe a whole other person altogether.

Sharing a video from his wife Nicola on his Instagram account - which was liked by his ex-England colleague John Terry - Carra revealed the lengths that she has to go to to help him finish off making the dinner, writing "When @nicolacarragher hasn't finised the dinner! The notes! #cantcook #wontcook"

Because brilliantly, Nicola leaves post-it notes for her husband in a step-by-step guide to culinary excellence.

You can't knock the advice (

That's a spoon. A spoon for scooping. (

Including instructions such as "use this to take out oven" on a tea towel (not oven gloves, Nicola? Controversial) and "use this to scoop into bowl" on a spoon - yes, a spoon - Mrs Carra really has done a great job in helping out her husband here.

Surely the culinary novice couldn't have messed this up, could he?
