Gary Neville is a savage.

While many pundits tread lightly when it comes to criticising former colleagues and peers, Neville is never afraid to launch into a two-footed challenge and snap a poorly performing player in two (metaphorically speaking).

Take his analysis of Arsenal's abysmal display in their 4-0 hammering at Liverpool. G-Nev went in HARD.

"I'm fuming," the former Manchester United star said on Sky Sports. "It's just pathetic.

"I'd stick them all up on the transfer list, there aren't many who'd get better than where they're at.

"I'm not a Liverpool fan but this Arsenal team deserve a battering."

Clearly, even by his own furious standards, the former United defender was particularly outraged by The Gunners' awfulness at Anfield.

Which brings us to Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain - the man who was among Arsenal's very worst performers on in last Sunday's thrashing.

A few days on from the humiliation at Liverpool, 'The Ox' is about to finalise his £40million move from Arsenal… to Liverpool.

As the deal neared completion, we tweeted a story about the first pictures of Oxlade-Chamberlain in Liverpool training kit:

Neville quickly responded to the tweet.

And it seems the shambles at Anfield is still on his mind:

So, essentially, Neville is saying that The Ox was SO bad for Arsenal on Sunday, he was as good as playing for Liverpool already.

No doubt the Sky Sports man is currently getting bombarded with furious replies from indignant Arsenal fans, outraged at his 'slur'.

But let's face it - while it may be harsh… it's probably fair.
