The Alexis Sanchez saga shows no sign of coming to an end.
For several months now, Arsenal fans have been on tenterhooks, waiting for news on their Chilean star.
Is he going to sign a new contract with the Gunners? Does he want to join Manchester City? Will he stay if the the club just take his dogs Atom and Humber hostage?
Well, it seems Gooners have now had enough - because the latest development in this summer's longest-running transfer drama appears to have sent many of them over the edge.
In his press conference ahead of Arsenal's first game of the season - the Premier League opener against Leicester on Friday night - Arsene Wenger confirmed that Sanchez will miss the match with injury.
“Sanchez will not be available," the Frenchman revealed. "He had a little abdominal strain that he caught on Sunday morning in training.
"He had the scan two days ago. He’s out for I don’t know."
Normally, Arsenal fans would tut, curse, take Sanchez out of their fantasy team and move on.
However, with Sanchez apparently keen on a move - and his desire to play for the Gunners in question - the reaction to this injury update has been a little different.
In short, many Gooners are not convinced this is the full story.
