Everton have completed a deal for Nigerian youngster Henry Onyekuru.

Arsenal appeared to have won the race last month after reportedly agreeing a £6.8m transfer.

But the Toffees have swooped to complete the move.

Onyekuru was the top scorer in the Belgian top flight last season with 23 goals, and top tier sides Club Brugge and Anderlecht also tabled bids, while Liverpool had him scouted.

Celtic failed with a bid to sign him in January as the Belgian side wanted to hold on to their prized asset but have now let him move on.

After the interest from the Scottish champions in January, Onyekuru admitted: "I have made my decision to leave. I have already agreed with Eupen that I am joining my new club after this season."

Everton were thought to be close to a deal to sign the Nigerian in January - now they've got their man.
