James Rodriguez appeared to farewell the Bernabeu on Sunday when he was substituted after 61 minutes of their 4-1 win over Sevilla.

The Colombian striker is heavily linked with Manchester United and as Zinedine Zidane replaced him with Casemiro after the hour mark he gave a solemn clap to the home fans.

The applause and apparent waving have been reported by numerous sources as reason to suggest he's saying goodbye to the club ahead of a move that is being most strongly tipped to be Old Trafford.

Or it could have just been because it was the last home game of Real's season.

It's unlikely to be a cheap transaction if it goes through, with Real eager to recoup a big chunk of the £71,000 fee they paid Monaco for him back in July 2014.

Mourinho said: “I don’t know other clubs, I don’t know the way they think, I don’t know what is important for them. We, Manchester United, for us it’s more important to win titles than to finish top four.
