Jadon Sancho’s representatives are set to hold talks with Manchester City on Thursday, as they look to resolve the young winger’s future.

Sancho, 17, wants to leave the Etihad and his situation has escalated since being left behind from City’s pre-season US tour.

Sancho remains on a scholarship deal at the club despite being offered a £30,000-a-week, three-year deal.

But he has grown concerned that there is no clear pathway to the first team and reckons he could play more regularly elsewhere.

His stock is high having been awarded the Golden Ball for player of the tournament at the Under-17 Euros in May, where he had a direct hand in 10 of the Young Lions 15 goals.

Arsenal and Spurs have both made moves to take him back to London - although the latter’s interest is said to have waned - while RB Leipzig have also scouted him. Manchester United are also keeping tabs on the player, although it's understood moving south is his preference.

Borussia Dortmund were close to securing a deal in July, even showing the player around the club’s training facilities in Germany, but a move was not completed.

Sancho, who arrived at City in 2015, joining in a £500,000 deal from Watford, saw fellow youngsters Brahim Diaz and Phil Foden go to the US while he was left behind.

But Sancho has since been AWOL from training for much of August and club officials have often been unable to contact him.

An overseas club would have to pay a significantly smaller sum in compensation than an English rival. A move abroad would need to be ratified by the end of the transfer deadline on Thursday.

Given he hasn't signed a pro deal at the Etihad however, he could move to a Premier League club after the window closes - provided City sanction a move, for which they would be expecting a sizeable fee.
