Chelsea starlet Jeremie Boga is heading to Birmingham on a season-long loan.

Harry Redknapp has agreed a deal to borrow the Ivory Coast attacking midfielder from the champions.

Boga made his Chelsea debut in the opening game of the season against Burnley but was sacrificed after just 18 minutes when captain Gary Cahill was sent off.

Boga is also the latest Blues youngster to sign a new long-term deal before being loaned out.

He has previously had stints at Rennes in France and Granada in Spain.

The 20-year-old is the 28th Chelsea player to be set away this summer.

He will join the likes of Kurt Zouma, Tomas Kalas, Lewis Baker, Lucas Piazon, Marco van Ginkel, Tammy Abraham and Izzy Brown in being contracted to the Blues but playing their football elsewhere.
