Daley Blind is likely to have a one-year contract extension in his contract triggered this season — but the Dutchman still fears he could be sold by Manchester United in the summer.

The former Ajax man joined the club in the summer of 2014 and his current deal expires in June of next year.

United have the option to extend his deal, which they are almost certain to do, but his future remains unclear.

The Times report that Blind fears his contract is only being extended so that United can recoup some money when they sell him.

Blind was a regular starter under Louis van Gaal but his role in the team is far less certain under Jose Mourinho.

The versatile Dutchman has appeared in a number of positions under the current management but has no fixed starting place.

The left-back spot, where he is most at home, is currently occupied by Ashley Young, who is in sensational form.

Inter Milan have been linked with a move for Blind.
