Arsenal striker Lucas Perez has completed a loan switch back to Deportivo, just 12 months after leaving the Spanish side for the Emirates.

The Gunners were keen to offload the 28-year-old who has struggled to hold down a regular place in north London, scoring seven times in 21 appearances in all competitions so far.

He rejoins Deportivo with a view to a permanent deal, just a year after costing Arsenal £17million.

Perez scored 24 goals in 59 appearances during his first spell with Deportivo.

His Arsenal team mate Joel Campbell is set to go to Real Betis on loan.

The Costa Rican international had voiced his unhappiness at the prospect of another temporary move, but now appears set to switch back to Spain.
